The combined Brookland and CUA neighborhoods are bounded by North Capitol Street NE to the west, Rhode Island Avenue NE to the south, and South Dakota Avenue to the east, and Buchanan Street NE to the north.
Neighborhood Feel:
Historic Brookland was originally a rural neighborhood and many single family homes still dot its landscape. Today, Brookland is most often associated with The Catholic University of America with which it shares a redline metro station.
Local businesses include restaurants serving a variety of cuisine. Food options also include Yes! Organic Market, which is located on 12th street and provides the neighborhood with available fresh groceries.
